100 Word RPG Hook: Bermuda Triangle
The Hunt
The Bermuda Triangle is a myth. Just another patch of ocean, statistically no more significant than an equivalent area anywhere else in the Atlantic.
But there are…places. Places where things just – poof! – disappear. There one minute and gone the next. But nothing really disappears. It can’t. It would be against…nature. Physics!
It has to go somewhere. I want to know where.
So I set out to find one of those places. A real statistical anomaly.
189 square miles of barely inhabited ranch-land in northwestern South Dakota.
Here. A 757 disappeared over this spot an hour ago. We’re going to find it.
Instruments of Destruction
by John du Bois
"Instruments of destruction" wasn't always a metaphor. Wizards rewrote the history books to deny us our power.
Pandora didn't open a container. She taught a talented, cruel family.
Jericho did happen that way, but they gave the clerics all the credit.
There was even a percussionist who could send ships through time and space. The wizards rewrote her into *geography* to erase her.
The only proof of the true tales are the relics that remain, and after years of searching, I finally found one.
I found Bermuda's Triangle.
Soon, all will know the true power of the ancient bards.
