The land in the west? They called it the New World. And it was, for them.
In great ships they sailed over the sea, building new homes in an untamed land. They planted. They reaped. They raised up prayers of thanksgiving.
But the land in the west? It is an old place. A place where old things slumber in wooded hills and rolling valleys untouched by human hands.
They answered prayers in times forgot. So again they answered, and brought with them death.
This is why we do not sail westward, lads.
The New World? It is no place for men.
The Cue
The cue for this week's 100 Word RPG Hook, we hope inspiration for the fantasy or horror game of your choice, was "thanksgiving." Next week's cue is "black friday." Write your own 100 words, send me the link, and I'll post your story with mine right here on the blog!
