“Do you have any questions for us before we finish up?” “I guess I was a little unclear on the salary and benefits.”

“For a specialty position like this, we understand that we must offer a higher-than-average rate if we wish to attract the most talented candidates. But for…insurance purposes…this kind of work is freelance. Travel, supplies, and other expenses – would be yours to handle from the generous wage we are prepared to offer.”

“You understand I have other offers?”

“Of course. And we have other interviews. But who else will hire you to kill something that doesn't really live?”
